Keep vehicles locked and notify police of missing items

Early on Friday, June 17, a young man was taken into custody near Clubhouse 3 (8100 Monrovia) by Lenexa Police. 

The man had entered an unlocked car and then used the garage door opener to open and enter the garage, where he was seen
taking tools. He was confronted by the homeowner, who then called police. No one was hurt and, according to police, the suspect was not armed. 

While the young man is in custody, Police have asked us to notify residents to report to the police if they have lost credit cards or other items from their cars or garages.
