A Welcoming Community with Pride in Our Property.
We’re Glad You’re Here
Welcome to Four Colonies, where diversity is the heart of our community. A walk through our community quickly reveals there are no stretches of sameness. We are architecturally diverse, yet a harmonious community.
Four Colonies sits on 100 acres (50 acres is residential housing, 50 acres is common ground green space) in Lenexa. We are in the center of the Shawnee Mission school district, close to day care, a fitness center, restaurants, grocery stores, retail shopping, Hidden Woods and Matt Taylor parks and major interstates and thoroughfares.
Governed by a homes association, a board of directors manages the affairs of the association. Our community is private. All facilities are for the sole use and enjoyment of Four Colonies homeowners and their guests.
Activities
Four Colonies offers several activity groups for residents to participate in. Information on meetings and times can be found on the calendar in addition to the Clarion.

Garden Club - A volunteer service for helping residents who need assistance with landscaping cleanup. Spring thru Fall. Contact the office if you would like to volunteer or need landscaping assistance.

Being a Good Neighbor
As guidance, the covenants associated with the Four Colonies bylaws state: No building, fence, wall or other structure shall be commenced, erected or maintained upon the properties, nor shall any exterior addition to or change or alteration therein be made until the plans and specifications showing the nature, kind, share, height, materials, exterior color scheme and location of the same shall have been submitted to and approved in writing by the Board of Directors or by the Architectural Committee.
Everyone needs to pick up after their pets. It’s the law. City of Lenexa Ordinance Leash Law 3-2-D-3 states “owners must remove any excrement deposited by their animal on any public or private property.” It is also “unlawful for any domestic animal to run at large.” 3-2-D-2 of the Leash Law.
